COOGEE COMMON COMING SOON
The Old Coogee Hotel is in its cocoon stage and we’re brimming with anticipation for the opening. We’re looking to bring a dining experience and atmosphere that will do justice to such an iconic site whilst making its own reputation as a must visit venue. Our crops are in and will be in full swing by opening to compliment our onsite kitchen to bring a unique and charming vibe to the people of Perth and Fremantle.
Built in 1899, by local identity Walter Powell, It became known as “the honeymooners’ hotel” because of it’s popularity with newlyweds due to its gardens and proximity to the beach. In 1929 the hotel lost its liquor license. After this it became an orphanage then closed in 1969.
